A short morning trip out of Copenhagen on July 19th, 2026, during the days I had to myself before Doist Connect in Billund.

I went there for the Viking ship museum and it was well worth it.

Transport

Train from Copenhagen, about half an hour each way. From Roskilde station it's a walk downhill to the harbour, which is where I spent the whole visit in the Viking ship museum.

• Roskilde harbour (Vindeboder): The old harbour on Roskilde Fjord. This is where the Viking Ship Museum sits, along with the boatyard where they build reconstructions.
